Kinich is a Dendro DPS who relies on tethering himself to enemies with his grappling hook and firing Loop Shots to generate Nightsoul Points in order to use the Scalespiker Cannon. Both the Loop Shots and the Scalespiker Cannon are considered Skill DMG. With his A1 Talent, his Skill puts enemies in the Desolation State, which, when they are affected by Burning or Burgeon, generates even more Nightsoul Points for Kinich. Summoning Ajaw to the field will extend his Nightsoul Blessing state briefly.
When paired with Xiangling, spin counter clockwise so her Pyronado can hit opponents more frequently.
Regarding Weapon Choices:
Rankings assume Kinich is used with Bennett.
Serpent Spine: Performs much worse without a shielder. At [R5], this weapon performs better than .
Earth Shaker: is an inconsistent weapon choice in teams only consisting of Dendro and Pyro characters. Since only the activation of Burning counts toward the passive, meaning that the passive activation can only trigger once per enemy.
Wolf's Gravestone: This option is mainly just a statstick for Kinich as many of his teammates, barring Xiangling, Emilie, Mavuika, or Xingqiu, don't benefit much from the ATK% buff from the passive.
Regarding Artifact Choices:
Sets
Obsidian Codex (4): This set is about equal to (4). The more DMG% Kinich already has, the better this set performs.
Unfinished Reverie (4): This set is about equal to (4). The less DMG% Kinich has from his weapon and/or team, the better this set performs.
Marechaussee Hunter (4): Only to be used when paired with Furina, or when played in Burgeon. Performs similarly to (4).
